Peacock, Gary - Now This
EN STOCK: ENTREGA 1 - 3 DÍAS.
As is well known, the bar in the field of piano trio is high and this is not least due to Gary Peacock, who as bass player in the bands of Bill Evans, Paul Bley and Keith Jarrett constantly helped to raise the bar in this genre even higher.
The album »Now This« was recorded with Peacock's current trio in Oslo last summer. New versions of some Peacock classics such as "Moor", "Vignette", "Requiem" and "Gaya" are mixed with compositions by Marc Copland and Joey Baron, but the trio also dared to tackle Scott La Faro's "Gloria's Step". The roles within the band are equal - a fact that greatly benefits the melodic inventiveness of Peacock's bass playing. Marc Copland always demonstrates a special feeling for the special features of a composition and Joey Baron brings both an instinct for the drive and an extraordinary sensitivity for sensitive details. »Now This« will be released on May 12, just in time for Gary Peacock's 80th birthday.
